  • Vision & Mission
As a school counselor it is vital that my school and program have both a mission and vision for the comprehensive school counseling program.  Below are the key points of what I believe a school counseling program should strive to have.

School Counseling Mission

As a school counselor my mission is to support my administrative team, teachers, parents, and community in preparing all Hall and Gresham-Barlow School District students to be future ready citizens by providing them a safe, caring, learning environment in which to develop their cognitive, career and social-emotional development.

School Counseling Vision

The students at Hall Elementary School are high-achieving learners who are prepared to graduate ready for college and careers. As 21st Century leaders, they are equipped for the challenges, responsibilities, and contributions of their global generation. All students participate in a rigorous curriculum which encourages personal growth, leadership, stewardship, and responsibility for ethical behavior. The comprehensive school counseling program vigorously supports student achievement and forges partnerships with parents, staff, and community stakeholders who are passionate about both life-long learning and each child's potential to succeed at the highest level. Hall students are prepared to make a significant difference in the lives of others in their communities.
My vision for students is based on the beliefs that:
  •  All students have dignity and worth
  • All students can learn
  • All students can be productive members of society
  •  All students have the right to participate in a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate school counseling program delivered by state certified school counselors
  • All students' ethnic, cultural, racial, sexual, and developmental differences and special needs are valued and considered in planning and implementing the school counseling program
  • All students benefit from a strong home/school partnership
  • All students benefit from primary prevention
  • All students benefit from a risk-free learning environment
